MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Department of Athletics has signed a multi-year Corporate Champion Agreement with PNC Bank.
The three-year agreement makes PNC "The Official Bank of Milwaukee Panther Athletics." PNC will have a brand presence in all marketing, advertising and game-event elements of UWM Athletics, including radio, TV and online broadcasts; venue presence and displays; web and social media; and in-venue and market-wide promotion.
"We are very excited to welcome PNC Bank to our Corporate Champion Program," Director of Corporate Sales John Stewart said. "PNC is growing rapidly in the Milwaukee metro area and is a perfect partner for our athletic department and University. The support of companies like PNC is important to our continued success and helps provide additional resources to support our student-athletes."
"The partnership with UWM Athletics is part of our plan to continue to invest in the Milwaukee market and Wisconsin," Chris Goller, Regional President at PNC Bank in Wisconsin, said. "PNC is excited to associate with such a strong academic and athletic institution and this reaffirms our commitment to the community."
PNC has an aggressive development plan for the Milwaukee market with a focus for growing wholesale banking, as well as increasing to 35 branches in the metro area by spring 2014. PNC is known for its innovation in the banking industry, offering online and mobile applications to meet the multiple banking transactions needs of its consumer and business customers. This rapidly growing and innovative bank is well suited to a brand association with UWM and Milwaukee Panther Athletics, with its more than 80,000 alumni who reside in southeastern Wisconsin.
