MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will hold cheerleader tryouts for the 2008-2009 season in late April.

The mandatory meeting, clinic and tryout are scheduled for April 12, 26 and 27.

All interested participants must attend a mandatory information meeting prior to taking part in a tryout clinic. The first meeting is April 12 at noon, with an additional meeting scheduled for April 26 at 1 p.m. A tryout clinic follows each meeting, and those interested in trying out do have the option of attending both clinics, which will be held in Engelmann Gym.

The formal tryouts will then be held Sun., April 27 from 9 am-1 pm at Engelmann Gym.

All participants must register in advance. If the participant is under the age of 18, all forms must be signed by his or her legal guardian prior to participating in the clinic and tryout.
