MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has named D'Ann Keller as associate director of athletics. The appointment is effective immediately.

Keller will assist in the daily operations of the department, while supervising the sports of men's and women's basketball and men's and women's soccer. She will also oversee all aspects of the department's financial operations and will direct the department's external operations, coordinate the operations of the Panther Fund and construct all major contracts - including radio, television, and facilities.

Keller will also work toward enhancing the department's special events, including the Tip-Off Luncheon, Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and the department's annual golf outings.

Keller comes to UWM from the Horizon League, where she served as assistant commissioner for the past three years, managing the league's awards and merchandising programs and coordinating special events. She was also extensively involved with a number of committees that helped direct the league, providing leadership to the league's student-athlete advisory and faculty athletics representatives committees. Keller also directed the daily operations of the league office.

Keller received her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science at Ball State University in 1989, and a master's degree in physical education and sports administration in 1993. In addition, she completed a second master's degree in education from Butler University in May of this year.
