MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee athletic department will again have a presence at the Wisconsin State Fair.

Panther coaches and student-athletes will appear at the UWM booth throughout the run of the fair, which opened today. Fans can pick up schedules for all of UWM's fall sports and get a sneak peek at the home's men's and women's basketball schedules. The tentative schedules are printed on a coupon good for buy-one-get-one-free admission to selected games this coming season.

The UWM booth is located in the Wisconsin Products Pavilion, across from the Wine and Cheese Shop and Saz's Pavilion. The exhibit space is near the doors at the southwest corner of the building.

During the 2006-07 academic year, UWM is celebrating its 50th anniversary and the State Fair booth will emphasize that aspect of Panther Pride. The new 50th anniversary logo will be on display, as will vintage photos and memorabilia. An expanded UWM Bookstore section is also at the display, featuring UWM branded merchandise for browsing and purchase.

The Wisconsin State Fair runs August 3-13 at State Fair Park in West Allis.
