MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's and women's basketball teams officially welcomed the start of the 2011-12 campaign last night, kicking off "Panther Madness" in front of a crowd of over 1,000 fans and supporters at the Klotsche Center.

The event featured plenty of action, with team introductions, a three-point shooting contest, dance contest, shooting contest and a dunk contest - won by Demetrius Harris - thrilling the large crowd that came out to welcome the Panthers.

The Milwaukee Bucks "Rim Rockers" got the night started with a bang, throwing down an array of dunks to dazzle and excite the crowd.

New chancellor Michael Lovell closed out his official inauguration day by welcoming the fans and students to "Panther Madness" and the start of the new campaign.
