2012: Quickly emerged as a starter in the outfield and responded by being named First-Team All-Horizon League and to the All-Newcomer Team ... batted a team-high .331 in 48 games, making 44 starts ... scored 35 runs, recorded 57 hits and drove in 15 ... ranked eighth in the league in batting average ... led the team and the Horizon League with 16 stolen bases ... also named to the College Sports Madness First-Team All-Horizon League squad and its Freshman of the Year in the conference ... ended the season with an active 20 game hitting streak, already tied for the fifth-longest in school history ... made first collegiate appearance as a pinch-runner at Minnesota Feb. 24, promptly adding his first stolen base ... first start and hit came the next day ... named to the All-Tournament Team at the Aztec Invitational, recording at least one base hit in all four games March 1-4 ... two hits (both doubles), two runs and two RBI against Cardinal Stritch April 4 ... two hits and a season-high three runs scored against Butler April 7 ... went 3-for-4 with two runs scored against Youngstown State April 21 to begin his 20-game streak ... had three more hits and a pair of steals the next day against YSU ... three hits against Valparaiso April 27 ... collected a pair of hits and RBI at Iowa May 1 ... two hits, two runs and two stolen bases at UIC May 4 ... became first Panther freshman in NCAA Division I era to record a five-hit game, going 5-for-6 against Butler in the Horizon League Tournament May 24 ... also hit a home run that day and drove in a season-high four runs while scoring two more ... went 36-for-82 (.439) during his 20-game streak to end the campaign ... first Milwaukee freshman to be named first-team all-league since 1997.
