Steve Sanfilippo Position: Director of Baseball Operations Experience: Fourth Season Alma Mater: Milwaukee, 2005

Steve Sanfilippo begins his fourth season as a member of the staff of the Milwaukee baseball team. Sanfilippo is now in his second year as Director of Baseball Operations after spending his first two seasons as an assistant coach.

His responsibilities include helping with fundraising and community service. He will also be in charge of the Milwaukee Baseball Camp program and help out with summer placement of Panther players.

Before coming to UWM, he spent three seasons as the hitting and infield coach at MSOE in Milwaukee and started his coaching experience at the Ripken Baseball Academy in Aberdeen, Md. While there, Sanfilippo gained baseball knowledge working beside MLB Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, his brother Bill and many other former major leaguers.

Sanfilippo was a three-year letterwinner on the baseball diamond for the Panthers (2003-05), earning league all-newcomer team honors in 2003.

Sanfilippo is married to wife Leah and they have a son, Sam, born in April of 2011.
