Schedule Woes Continue For Milwaukee Baseball
April 16, 2013
MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee baseball team continues its struggle against the poor spring weather and will now have to postpone two more games this week, head coach Scott Doffek announced this morning.
In addition, Milwaukee is also dealing with other teams having to make-up conference games and forcing additional postponements of home contests scheduled at Henry Aaron Field.
The Panthers have already had to postpone today's scheduled game against Wisconsin Lutheran, which was forced to make-up league games on its schedule instead. Now, the same situation has come up against Edgewood College, as the Eagles need to play a previously postponed conference doubleheader Wednesday and will not be making the trip to "the Hank".
A date to reschedule is being worked on, but there is nothing official at this time.
Then, due to the heavy rain in the forecast for the next two days, Thursday's contest against Cardinal Stritch will be postponed and will now be played on May 2, set for a first pitch of 2 p.m. at Henry Aaron Field.
Also announced today is a schedule change for April 23. That day, UWM was scheduled to play Parkside - in a game that was already postponed once. The Rangers now have to make-up league games that day and the new date for the UWM/UWP game will be May 7, also set to start at 2 p.m.
