MILWAUKEE -
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee baseball team continues its tradition of playing at the home of the Milwaukee Brewers each season when it hosts Northwestern University in a single game Wednesday at Miller Park. The non-conference contest should start between 3:30 and 4 p.m., following the conclusion of the Brewers/Reds game scheduled for 12:10 p.m. that day.
The start time of the opener is subject to change, as the teams will begin play approximately 30 minutes after the field is ready following the MLB game that day. Admission is free to the UWM games and fans may start entering the parking lot and stadium in the eighth inning of the major league contest. Parking for the event is also free at that time and the Brewers will have the concession stand behind home plate open throughout the majority of the game.
Through a marketing agreement with the Milwaukee Brewers, the Panthers have played at Miller Park every season since 2002. UWM has gone 13-8 in the games at the Major League Baseball park.
Wednesday's game can also be viewed on the Horizon League Network, with Kevin Conway and Tim Prahl from the UWM Sports Information Office on the call.
