Tone Boyle Player Bio
Tone Boyle has finished his first season as the Panthers' video coordinator.
Boyle just finished his playing career at UWM this past season by helping to lead the Panthers to the Horizon League regular season title and the National Invitation Tournament.
The Middleton, Wis. native came to Milwaukee in 2008 after playing at both Kirkwood Community College and Highland Community College. He earned a spot on the All-League Second Team and the All-Newcomer Team that season, then had to sit out the 2009-10 campaign with a back injury.
He returned last year, averaging 12.9 points per game while starting all 33 games. Boyle played a key role in the late-season Milwaukee surge that saw the Panthers go 10-3 over their last 13 games, with the senior reaching double digits 10 times in that stretch.
For his career, Boyle wound up with 823 points and 149 three-pointers in two seasons.
Head coach Rob Jeter is excited to have alums like Ronnie Jones (assistant coach), Chris Hill (academic advisor) and Boyle part of the coaching and administrative staff.
"We're excited to have guys that have a passion for this place but also guys who have played on championship teams," Jeter said. "They know the work ethic, the sacrifice, the togetherness, the team chemistry - the importance of all of these things. It is just good to have that type of continuity and that type of family around and a part of this program."
