2000-2001: Started twenty-four games as a true freshman...missed three games with a severe ankle and foot sprain, but returned ahead of schedule to face UWGB February 3...scored in double figures nine times and led the team in rebounds ten times...pulled down twelve boards against Lipscomb November 21...scored ten points and grabbed eight rebounds against Valaraiso, also drawing a key charge at the end of the game to seal the victory...scored twelve points and added eight rebounds against Chicago State December 4...scored ten points against San Diego December 23, also grabbing eight rebounds...pitched-in with ten points, six rebounds and two blocks against Colorado Decmeber 30...scored eighteen points, grabbed fifteen boards and added five blocked shots at UIC January 11...scored fifteen points and pulled down nine boards at Loyola January 14...blocked four shots in the second meeting against Loyola February 8...scored sixteen points and grabbed a team season-high fifteen rebounds February 22 against Cleveland State...was UWM's leading rebounder, making him the first freshman to carry that honor since Roderick Johnson led the team in 1995-1996...his 30 blocked shots this year put him in the career top ten all-time at UWM...recored two double-doubles, against Cleveland State and UIC. |
