Tucker Named Horizon League Player Of The Week
Nov. 24, 2003
MILWAUKEE - Joah Tucker's University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee basketball career may be just one game old, but the former Glendale Nicolet star has already been named the Horizon League's Player of the Week.
Tucker, a transfer from Bradley who sat out last season, scored 22 points to lead the Panthers to a 95-83 win over Montana Saturday night at the U.S. Cellular Arena. Tucker also collected six assists and five rebounds while shooting 8-of-13 from the field.
The 6-foot-5 sophomore was one of four UWM players in double figures and was one of a number of newcomers making their mark for the Panthers. In fact, 71 of 95 UWM points came from players who did not play a season ago.
Tucker and the Panthers return to action Tuesday night, welcoming Concordia-St. Paul to the Klotsche Center for a 7 p.m. contest.
