Milwaukee 2; SIUE 1
Sept. 20, 2008
-The Panthers improve to 6-13-1 against SIUE. This was the first match played in the series since the 1991 season. SIUE was a member of NCAA D-I up until the 1995 season and is now on its way back up. -Freshman Eric Frazier now leads the team with seven points on two goals and three assists. The seven points is more than any player from last season besides the top spot (Zeke Dombrowski had 11) and his three assists are as many as the 2007 team leader finished with. -Senior Grant Fernstrum had a scoreless streak get stopped at 266:11 on the SIUE penalty kick. -If not for two penalty kick situations this season, Fernstrum would have only allowed four goals in 670 minutes, a `would-be' 0.54 GAA. -UWM is now 2-0-1 at Engelmann Field this season. The victory is No. 197 all-time at the storied field, with the all-time mark standing in at 197-69-21. -Sophomore Sol Caceres earned his first start in a UWM uniform this evening.
