MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer team will open the 2012 spring schedule with a home game against Northwestern University April 1.

"We have four very good NCAA Division I teams on the schedule from within the region," Milwaukee head coach Chris Whalley said. "These teams were very competitive within their conferences and Northwestern advanced to the NCAA Tournament again last season."

In addition to the game against the Wildcats, which is set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff at Engelmann Stadium, the Panthers will host DePaul April 13th at 6 p.m. and Cardinal Stritch April 18th at 7 p.m.

There will be a pair of road dates. The first is at IUPUI April 22nd for a 2 p.m. EST kickoff.

The spring season then concludes April 29th with the annual `Wisconsin Division I Cup' at Valley Fields. The annual tournament features all four of the state's NCAA Division I men's soccer programs in Milwaukee, Marquette, Green Bay and Wisconsin.

"Marquette had a great 2011 season as well, so it's going to be fun and we are looking forward to it," Whalley said. "It is great to finish the spring schedule with the `Wisconsin Cup' and play in the Bob Summy Memorial Game."
