MILWAUKEE - Freshman Connor Revsbeck of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer team has been named the Horizon League Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced this morning.

The Panthers won their only game on the schedule last week, shutting out Wisconsin, 1-0, to post their first victory over the Badgers since the 2005 season. Revsbeck played a key role and made his first collegiate start a memorable one, tallying five saves in the victory.

In the process, he became the first freshman goalkeeper to record a shutout in his first collegiate UWM start since Eric Mickschl did so in 2003 (a five-save outing in a 1-0 win over New Mexico Aug. 31, 2003). The award was shared with Detroit's Nathan Steinwascher and is a career-first.
