Anderson Named League Diver Of The Week
Oct. 24, 2012
MILWAUKEE - Sophomore Lee Anderson of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's diving team has been named Horizon League Diver of the Week, the league office announced this morning.
This is the first league honor of Anderson's career and the third for the Panthers thus far this season.
Anderson won both boards this past Friday in a dual meet win over Grand Valley State University. The Kenosha native broke the Lakers pool record on the three-meter, posting an impressive score of 325.13 to cruise to the win. That mark also is an NCAA Zone score, qualifying Anderson to the NCAA Zone Diving Championships after just his second week of action.
Anderson also won the one-meter, besting seven other competitors in the event.
Milwaukee returns to action on Friday, playing host to Wright State in the Panthers first home meet of the season. Events are set to get underway at 5 p.m.
