Milwaukee Men Close Out Semester Slate At Falcon Invitational12/2/2008 - Coming off seven wins in its previous eight dual meets, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's swimming & diving team closes out the semester schedule with a road trip to Minneapolis, Minn., for the Falcon Invitational. The two-day meet, slated for a 9 a.m. start on both Friday and Saturday, features 15 different schools from NCAA Division I down to NCAA Division III and is hosted by UW-River Falls on the campus of the University of Minnesota. Senior David Adams won twice to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's swimming & diving team to a 128.5-85.5 victory over Valparaiso University Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Panthers move to 15-0 all-time against the Crusaders and also improve to 8-4 in dual meets on the year - their most dual victories since recording eight during the 1997-98 season. Adams paved the way, winning the 1000 freestyle in a time of 10:12.79 while also topping the field in the 500 freestyle in 4:57.29. In addition to Adams' pair of wins, junior Ed Lichinsky, freshmen Kyle Trelka and Nathan Rahe and the 200 freestyle relay team all posted wins on the day. University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee head men's swimming coach Erica Janssen has announced the signing of two high school seniors to National Letters of Intent today. Michael Brady of Bartlett, Ill, and Brian Verink of Cedar Falls, Iowa, have been added during the early signing period by Milwaukee and will compete for the UWM men's swimming team next season.
