Eric Kramer Position: Assistant Coach

Eric Kramer is starting his first year as assistant coach for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's and women's track & field teams.

Kramer comes to Milwaukee after spending the past year at Franklin College.

"We are excited to have Eric on the staff," Corfeld said. "His extensive background in all events will be a huge asset to the track & field program. He has both coached and participated in sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws and relays. His knowledge of the multi-events will serve all our athletes well. He is a go-getter and will take the initiative to get things done. I look forward to working with Eric and I believe our athletes will react well to his style."

At Franklin College, Kramer helped lead the Grizzlies to impressive heights. In 2012, the team posted six school records between the sprint, hurdle and jump events that Kramer coached. He also served as the meet director for the inaugural Indiana D-III Championships and the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship meet.

Kramer also started out his coaching career at Franklin from 2007-2009, quickly becoming an integral part of the coaching staff. In that time, he helped coach the team to the conference indoor title. He also coached two HCAC Most Valuable Track Athlete of the Year winners and two Academic All-Americans. Additionally, he also guided the school to their first-ever men's and women's cross country league championship titles, including having one men's national qualifier.

In between, Kramer spent two years at Lake Erie College where he helped send numerous student-athletes to the NCAA D-II Championships and produced 11 All-Americans and an outstanding 31 school records. Kramer also helped coach the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year.

"I'm excited to begin work here in Milwaukee," Kramer said. "The talent level here is amazing and I've seen many areas we can improve. I look forward to the opportunity and the upcoming season."
