Panthers Top School 4x200 Relay Mark At Kansas Relays
LAWRENCE, Kan. (April 20, 2007) - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's track and field team saw its 4x200m relay record fall and a strong showing by its throwers over the first two days of the prestigious Kansas Relays this weekend. The Panthers' began competing Thursday and the meet concludes Saturday. Seniors Trentin Edwards and Jeremy Majors and freshmen Isaiah Adams and Tyler Bucholz combined on a time of 1:28.95. The time eclipsed the Milwaukee record of 1:30.04 set in 1990. Seniors Nick Wichert and Nick Gretz also posted top-10 finishes in the throws with Wichert throwing 193-7 for fifth in the hammer throw. His toss was just four inches off his own school record. Gretz took sixth in the shot put with a throw of 56-7 ½.
