MILWAUKEE, Wis. (July 18, 2011) - Jason Francis, associate head coach with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee track and field program has been named the head women's track and field coach at the University of Dayton.

"Jason has done an outstanding job for our program," Milwaukee head coach Pete Corfeld said. "His experience at UWM has prepared him well to be a leader in the DI ranks. I look forward to seeing his successes. I also look forward to competing against his cross country squad in the Great Lakes region this fall. I wish him the best and thank him for all that he has provided for our student-athletes."

Francis spent seven years with Milwaukee, helping the Panther men to indoor and outdoor league titles in each year and the women to another eight championships. This season, UWM claimed all four Horizon League Championships and Francis mentored triple jumper Samia Taylor to an appearance at the NCAA Championships and All-America Honorable Mention honors.
