Bohler, Schleis Named Academic All-League For Outdoor Track & Field

Pair has been named to league's last four academic teams in track and field

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (July 25, 2008) - Senior Justin Bohler and junior Adam Schleis of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee were named to the Horizon League Academic All-League Team for outdoor track and field, the league office announced today.

The duo was also named to the league academic team for indoor track, as well as both indoors and outdoors last season. They were also integral in Milwaukee's fifth-straight league outdoor championship and 10th-straight league title overall.

Bohler capped his career at the league championships in May with all-league second team honors in the 100m hurdles as runner-up to Schleis. He also scored in three other events, taking fifth in the 400m hurdles and javelin, and sixth in the pole vault. During the regular season, he broke the school record in the decathlon, scoring 6,836 points and falling just 64 points shy of qualifying for the NCAA regional.

Bohler is a civil engineering major out of Janesville, Wis. and boasts a 3.352 grade point average.

Schleis successfully defended his league 110m hurdles title, topping the field for the third-straight year. His time of 14.40 not only broke his own school record, but also established a league record. The championship was the eighth of his career, tying him for the second-most individual league titles in school history. Schleis also ran with the first-place 4x100m relay.

A history major, the native of Germantown, Wis., has maintained a 3.36 GPA.
