Madison, Wis. - Sophomore Louie Glotfelty posted a personal record to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's cross country team to a 26th-place showing at the Great Lakes Regional Friday afternoon, hosted by the University of Wisconsin.

UWM finished with 727 points, ahead of Horizon League foes Valparaiso (807 points) and Green Bay (944), and just behind Detroit (670) and Wright State (677).

"The men ran really well today. I am very proud of their effort," Milwaukee head coach Pete Corfeld said. "It is different transition running on 8K courses most of the season and switching to a 10K here at the regional, but I am really proud of how they ran. They really tried to stick with the front runners and it was great to see the effort they put forth."

Glotfelty came in 124th overall with a time of 33:42, a new PR. Senior Bobby Glotfelty was right behind at 33:51 for 128th.

Senior Jake Reilly stayed with the lead group much of the race and finished with a time of 34 minutes, 32 seconds. Freshman Weston Brusky was right behind at 34:35 and Brett Johnson closed out the scoring for the Panthers at 34:51.

Sam Leschisin also posted a personal record on the day, crossing the line at 35:10 for 172nd. Freshman Adam Schueller was just behind at 35:13.
