UWM 71, UW-Parkside 45
Nov. 11, 2004
UWM Head Coach Sandy Botham
"Parkside is a great test for us. It was a close game early but we were able to pull away. We forced a lot of chaos against a solid opponent."
"We pride ourselves on our defense and that's what will help us win a championship."
"We have a lot of balance on offense and a lot of weapons. Fatigue was a factor down the stretch with missed shots and turnovers."
"Of all the players returning Teri's shown the biggest improvement."
"Our offense is geared toward the personnel that we have. We want to let our players make the plays. The team has responded very well to the new offense. We use our athleticism to our advantage."
What Did You Learn About the Team?
"I felt confidence in the team. The foundation from last year is all back and they seemed really determined."
When Asked About Playing Time For Her Team?
"I gave the top six the most amount of minutes but then I tried out different combinations. You never know what lies ahead. If we can get a solid 8-9 player rotation down I will be happy."
UWM Senior Forward Teri Huff
"They tried to mix the defense up on us. I focused on being confident, aggressive and strong. We set the tone for the year coming out aggressively."
