MILWAUKEE - It may have taken two separate days to complete thanks to Mother Nature, but the Women's Basketball Golf Classic was once again a success.

The event, originally scheduled for June 23, had to be conducted over two days due to heavy rains that made the course unplayable on the first go-around.

Most of the foursomes made it back out for the rescheduled date earlier this week and even ended up featuring Paul Sfanos with a hole-in-one on one of the par-3's on the course at North Hills Country Club in Menomonee Falls.

Fans, sponsors and season-ticket holders got their opportunities to swing away, participate in numerous contests and bid on a variety of special auction packages.

"My staff, players and I are very grateful for the support of Milwaukee Women's Basketball," head coach Kyle Rechlicz said. "I wanted to take the opportunity to personally thank everyone for their participation in the outing, especially with having to come out a second time to get the golf rounds played."

The Black & Gold Network stopped by the event as well, catching up with Rechlicz, video coordinator Dan Carey and director of operations Scott Warras for on-course interviews.
