MILWAUKEE - The annual University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Basketball Tipoff Luncheon is set for Fri., Oct. 26 at the Milwaukee Athletic Club.

The event features a reception and lunch in addition to comments by men's basketball coach Rob Jeter and women's basketball coach Kyle Rechlicz previewing the 2012-13 season. Players from both teams will also be in attendance.

The luncheon begins at noon.

Tickets to the event are just $25, and fans can contact the UWM Ticket Office at 414-229-5886 for more information or to make reservations. Fans are asked to RSVP for the event by Oct. 22.

The event comes a week before each team opens exhibition play, with the women facing Hillsdale on Nov. 3 and the men taking on Parkside Nov. 5. Both teams will then open the regular season Nov. 9, with the men home against the University of Mary while the women play at Chicago State.

The Milwaukee Athletic Club, a partner of Panther athletics, is located at 758 N. Broadway St. in downtown Milwaukee.
