Video: Women's Soccer Starts Practice This Week
Aug. 3, 2012
College women's soccer practice kicked off this week, so the Black & Gold Network stopped by Engelmann Stadium to talk with Milwaukee head coach Greg Henschel as he starts his first preseason leading the Panthers. Henschel inherits a team that returns six starters, including all-region first-team selection Jamie Forbes in goal, as well as fellow all-league first-team honoree Helen Steinhauser in the midfield. The Panthers went 19-3 last season and finished 23rd in the final national poll. Preseason practice kicked off Wednesday and the Panthers take the field for exhibitions against a team of alumni Saturday and Michigan State Aug. 11. The regular season opener is Aug. 17 when South Carolina visits Engelmann Stadium.
