MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Oct. 27, 2012) - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's soccer team will play host to the 2012 Horizon league Championship Nov. 2-4 at Engelmann Stadium.

The Panthers (5-2) shared the league regular season championship with Detroit (5-2), but earned the No. 1 seed and hosting rights for the tournament based on the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Both teams have byes into the semifinals Friday. Milwaukee will take on the lowest remaining seed after Tuesday's first round at 7 p.m. Meanwhile, the higher-seeded team to advance out of Tuesday's games will play the Titans at 4 p.m.

The championship game will follow Sunday at 1 p.m.

The final four seeds were determined with the final two games of the regular season this afternoon. Valparaiso (3-2-2) clinched the No. 3 seed with a 1-0 victory over Green Bay Saturday and hosts No. 6 Loyola (2-3-2) Tuesday. Youngstown State (3-4) defeated Wright State (2-2-3) to qualify for its first tournament since 2008 and secure the No. 4 seed over the No. 5 Raiders. The teams will face off in a rematch Tuesday in Youngstown, Ohio.

Milwaukee is the four-time defending tournament champions, defeating WSU 5-1 last season at Engelmann Stadium.
