Milwaukee Set To Host 2013 Horizon League Championships

MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's soccer team will play host to the 2013 Horizon league Championship Nov. 8-10 at Engelmann Stadium.
The top-seeded Panthers (6-1-0) will have a bye into the semifinals and take on the lowest-remaining seed to advance out of Tuesday's quarterfinal matches. Wright State (5-1-1) is the No. 2 seed and also received a bye and the Raiders will take on the highest remaining seed after Tuesday's matches.
Now that the field is set for the tournament, times have now been announced. Milwaukee's semifinal match will be at 7 p.m. Friday, while WSU will play its semifinal match at 4 p.m. The championship game is schedule for 1 p.m. Sunday.
Tuesday's quarterfinal matches include sixth-seeded Youngstown State (2-5-0) at No. 3 Oakland (4-3-0). No. 4 Detroit (4-3-0) will host No. 5 Valparaiso (2-3-2)
Milwaukee is the five-time defending tournament champions, defeating Wright State 1-0 in double overtime last season at Engelmann Stadium.
Tickets are sale for just $5 for the general public, while children and seniors' tickets are just $3. As always, all Horizon League students are admitted free with a valid student ID.
