CSCAA Honors Milwaukee Swimming & Diving Once Again
July 9, 2009
MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's and men's swimming & diving teams were once again named to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Team Scholar All-American list, announced recently by the organization. The Panthers were one of five Horizon League schools to make one of the lists, but Erica Janssen was the only head coach to have both women's and men's teams honored. The inclusion of each extends long established streaks for the UWM swimming & diving program. The women have now been honored for 40-straight semesters with their 3.15 GPA this past spring semester. Cleveland State, Green Bay, UIC and Youngstown State also represented the Horizon League on the women's side. For the men, Milwaukee earned the distinction for the 15th time in the past 16 semesters with its 3.10 GPA as the lone league honoree. The team awards capped an impressive year for the student-athletes in the classroom. Four Panther swimmers/divers were named to the Winter Horizon Academic All-League Team and Ashley Hall recently earned First Team and Jeremy Waldhart Second Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District honors as well.
