MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team won all six singles matches and all three doubles contests to sweep past Valparaiso 7-0 Friday night at LeClub.

Milwaukee (6-3, 2-0 Horizon) was never threatened in the match, losing just two of the 26 doubles games and only nine of the 81 singles games.

Senior Megan Gow returned from an extended injury absence to capture victories in both singles and doubles, while Kristin Kurer and Kelly Fritz ran their spring doubles record to a perfect 7-0.

Gow, Christina Coloarossi and Brittany Skemp all won their singles matches by 6-0, 6-0 scorelines, while two of the three doubles contest were decided by 8-0 margins.

"We did a nice job of taking care of business with a team effort," UWM head coach Sean McInerney said. "It was nice to see Megan back in action after an extended absence. She played well after not having played for a while and it was great to see her win. We'll get a big test tomorrow from Ball State and we'll need to play our best."

UWM returns to action Saturday, hosting Ball State at LeClub. That match starts at 6 p.m.
