Ganser Signs Letter Of Intent To Join Tennis Team11/19/2008 - Beth Ganser of Johnson Creek, Wis., has signed a national letter of intent to play tennis at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, head coach Matt McCaskill announced today. Ganser is a four-time state qualifier from Division 2 Jefferson High School, sporting an overall high school record of 104-23. She finished third in the state as a sophomore before moving up to second in the state as both a junior and senior. She was also a regular on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel all-area team during her high school career and claimed multiple honors from the Rock Valley Conference. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team captured a doubles title and advanced a player to the finals in singles action during the final day of the Ball State Invitational Saturday. The tandem of Kari Kastenholz and Kelly Drvaric captured a pair of wins Saturday to take that doubles crown, while freshman Megan Gow won a Saturday morning semifinal contest before falling in the final match. Drvaric and Kastenholz first claimed an 8-4 win over a tandem from Bradley Saturday morning and then pulled out an 8-3 win over a pair from Northern Illinois in the finals. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team opened play at the Ball State Invitational Friday with six singles victories and two doubles wins. Sophomore Jenna Felsher and freshman Megan Gow each led the way in singles play, with both going 2-0 in Flight C play. Sammi Schoen and Ashley Schoneman also grabbed singles victories.
