Conrad Leads Panthers At Meyo Invitational
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (Feb. 7, 2009) - Junior Kelsey Conrad ran a time of 24.92 in the 200m and ran with the second-fastest 4x400m relay in school history to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's track and field team at the Meyo Invitational Saturday. Conrad's time put her second in school history and 12th in the event. It was also just 0.11 seconds off the school-record pace. In the 4x400m relay, she ran with sophomore Angie Kaufmann and freshmen Shelby Schaal and Erika Hanson. The quartet's time of 3:51.61 was 11th on the day and also second in school history, just 1.19 seconds off the school standard. Sophomore Chelsea Von Ruden and junior Reigna Pierce also competed, with Von Ruden cracking the program's all-time top 10 in the high jump. She cleared a personal-best 5-5, tying her for seventh in school history. She was 13th in the event. Pierce leapt 38-0 in taking 15th in the triple jump. Milwaukee returns to action next weekend, heading to the Iowa State Classic Feb. 12-14.
