DES MOINES, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's track and field team added another pair of records to a growing list of marks already set this year when it finished third in the shuttle hurdle relay and 18th in the 1600m sprint medley relay at the Drake Relays on Saturday. The Panthers have never previously finished the shuttle hurdle relay in school history, while the sprint medley mark stands at number one on the all-time list.

The shuttle hurdle relay team of Stephanie Kenesie, Jill Naus, Michelle Fritsch and Kristy Naef finished in 59.68 in the finals, placing them third of the four teams to compete in the finals. That time was an improvement over their preliminary heat, where the quartet finished in 1:00.41 to earn their spot as the fourth qualifier in the finals.

In addition to the shuttle hurdle relay, the 1600m sprint medley relay team of Nicole Frey, Sara Vanderloop, Tenia Fisher and Katie Anderson placed 18th overall in 4:04.16. That time broke the old mark of 4:04.93, set by Frey, Jen Todd, Liz Pesch and Abby Hurst at the 2000 edition of the Drake Relays.

The Panthers return to the track next weekend with a meet at Western Illinois as the final tune-up before the Horizon League Championships on May 8 and 9 in Indianapolis.
