MADISON, Wis. (Jan. 15, 2010) - Freshman Moriah Myles of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's track and field team won the pentathlon Friday afternoon on the first day of the Badger Quad.

The meet wraps up Saturday.

Myles scored 2,919 points to win the event over a pair of unattached athletes from Wisconsin. Her top score came in the 60m hurdles where she ran 9.98. She also cleared 5-0 1/2 in the high jump.

The Panther men had one competitor on the meet's first day, as freshman Ryan Rayeske took fifth in the men's pentathlon with 2,946 points. His best scores came in the 1000m where he crossed the line in 2:56.19 and the high jump where he cleared 5-10 1/2.
