MILWAUKEE - Senior Stephanie Kenesie was named the Horizon League Women's Track Athlete of the Week following a record-breaking performance at the Carthage College Division I Invitational Saturday in Kenosha, the league office announced today.

Kenesie, the league's reigning indoor long and triple jump champion, claimed a meet and fieldhouse record in the long jump Saturday to help lead the Panthers to a second-place overall finish. Kenesie jumped 18'10 3/4", easily outdistancing the old meet mark of 17'1/2" and the fieldhouse mark of 17'11 3/4". She also claimed first place in the triple jump with a best effort of 36'1 1/4", while also finishing fourth in the high jump and fifth in the 55m hurdles.

The Panthers return to competition this weekend when they travel to Charleston, Ill., for the Eastern Illinois Invitational on Saturday.
