MILWAUKEE, Wis. - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee junior Tenia Fisher has been named the Horizon League Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week for the second-straight week the league office announced today. She has now earned the award in each of the first two weeks of the season.

For the second weekend in a row Fisher won her only event, taking top honors in the 600m at the Central Collegiate Championships. She crossed the line in 1:34.37 to post the second-fastest time in school history and the best time in the league so far this season.

The honor also marks the second week in the row the Milwaukee track and field program has swept the men's and women's awards, as freshman Jay Schweitzer earned the men's award this week. Last week Fisher and men's junior Gabe Wagoner won their respective 800m events at the Division I Invitational to garner that week's honors for the Panthers.

UWM returns to action Feb. 5, when it travels to Cedar Falls, Iowa, for the Northern Iowa Invitational.
