MILWAUKEE, Wis. (April 12, 2007) - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's and women's track and field teams will have this weekend off as the Marquette Invitational, scheduled for April 13-14 at MU's Shimek Track, has been cancelled.

Mid-week snow and the uncertainty of conditions at the track this weekend led to the decision, announced today by the Marquette athletic department.

With one more week to prepare, the Panthers will be in action next the following weekend at the Kansas Relays in Lawrence, Kan.
