Port of Spain, Trinidad - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee junior Durell Busby finished second overall with a time of 13.81 seconds in the 110m hurdles at the Sagicor NGC National Open Championships at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad Saturday in pursuit of earning a spot at this year's summer Olympics.

Busby's second-place finish likely keeps his Olympic dream alive for his home nation of Trinidad & Tobago, though he'll need to enter another race and meet the qualifying time in order to secure a berth.

"We're all very excited for Durell and this is all just part of the process," Milwaukee track & field head coach Pete Corfeld said. "He's still in play and I think he can make his time and I know he does, too. It's all very exciting as he's trying to make the biggest event in the world."

Busby's second-place mark is the best finish for a Milwaukee track & field athlete in a national meet in program history. Cory Peterson previously held that record, taking third in the 800m at the USA Indoor Nationals in 1998.
