Dot (Bunnell) McMahon at the 1998 MCC Cross Country Championships as a senior

EDMONTON, Alberta - Dorothy "Dot" (Bunnell) McMahon, an alum of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's track and field team, placed 48th at the 14th IAAF World Half Marathon Championships, Oct. 1, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. McMahon ran middle distance events and cross country for the Panthers from 1995-99.

McMahon, who runs for Hanson's Race Team based in Michigan, crossed the line with a time of 1:18.44 and was the fourth American finisher at the event. The race was won by Constantina Tomescu of Romania with a time of 1:09.17. Seventy-one women competed in the race.

McMahon specialized in the 800m, ranking among the top 10 in the event both indoors and outdoors. Her name is also littered among the top 10's in multiple relay events.
