2000: Simply put, the best player in the Midwestern Collegate Conference...co-captained the MCC Champion Panthers...lead the team in digs (424) for the third straight year...assumed a new role as the Panthers' main offensive threat, leading the team in kills (429)...opened the season September 1 with a .364 hitting percentage (15 kills on 33 total attacks) fifteen digs, and two service aces against Boston College at the South Florida Tournament...had just one error in 29 total attacks to accumulate a .379 hitting percentage in the Furman match of the USF Tournament's second day, adding four service aces...had 25 kills on 59 attacks (.322 hitting percentage) and 23 digs against Austin Peay September 9...had 21 digs, three service aces and nineteen kills in a five-game win at crosstown rival Marquette September 12...went 13 of 22 on attack for a .455 hitting percentage at Green Bay September 22, adding fourteen digs to boot...showed "20-20" vision against Butler October 6, scoring twenty kills and twenty digs, plus two service aces...recorded seventeen kills, a service ace and 23 digs at Cleveland State October 13...came up huge against a talented DePaul team October 18, knocking down 30 kills, second-most in a UWM Division I match all-time (36, Erica Malterer, vs. Marquette September 8, 1998), digging out 27 balls and recording a .355 hitting percentage to lead the Panthers over the Blue Demons...pounded out 27 kills on 70 total attacks and dug out 24 balls to lead UWM over top-ranked Cincinnati October 21...went on the defensive against Loyola October 28, blocking a season-high six balls...had a road trip to remember November 3 and 4, picking up 31 digs, five blocks and a .442 hitting percentage (23 kills, 43 attacks) at Wright State on day one, then collecting 23 digs and 20 kills at Butler on the way home...went 19 for 29 on attack against Cleveland State in the first round of the MCC Tournament November 17, recording a clutch .552 hitting percentage...had 29 digs in the MCC Championship against Butler November 18...took home a cornucopia of awards both during and after the season (see above chart), including the MCC Player of the Year Award and the immense honor of being named UWM Female Athlete of the Year.
1999: Continued posting impressive numbers at the outside hitter position for the Panthers throughout the 1999 season...had 25 kills in the October 16 match against Butler...accumulated 31 digs in a game against Illinois State, tying her previous career best and the UWM record for digs in a a match...finished the regular season with a team-high 349 digs and 332 kills...named the Tournament MVP at the Purdue Premier...earned MCC Player of the Week honors for the weeks of September 6 and November 15.
1998: Named Midwestern Collegiate Conference Newcomer of the Year...also named Second-Team All-Conference and earned All-Tournament team recognition...played in 116 games and 31 matches...her 445 digs during the season set a new school record...had 31 digs vs. Illinois-Chicago October 9...had 392 kills on the season...was a major player in the MCC, leading the conference with 3.71 digs per game...also ranked eighth in the MCC with 3.27 kills per game.
High School: Earned three letters in volleyball...earned first-team All-State honors her junior and senior years...was a member of the Elite All-State team her senior year...was named the Iowa class 3A Player of the Year as a senior and was named to the All-Iowa Class 3A Tournament Team her junior and senior years...among her other high school awards: Mississippi Valley Conference Player of the Year, KWWL Player of the Week, Courier Athlete of the Week, Rotary Club Player of the Year, team MVP and team captain...also lettered two years in track, qualifying for state in the 400-meter dash and sprint medley as a sophomore...was inducted into the Waterloo West Hall of Fame...was a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Daughter of Kevin and Linda...majoring in Health Administration...would like to be a volleyball coach someday...volunteers regularly in the community, including work with the Milwaukee Food Shelter and the Girl Scouts...member of the Six Pack Volleyball Club that won the regional championships and placed tenth at Nationals.
