Schuh Wins Second-Straight League Player Of The Week Honor

MILWAUKEE - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee volleyball senior Kerri Schuh has been named the Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row, the league office announced today. Schuh was named the most valuable player of the Sheraton West Des Moines Drake Invitational after leading the Panthers (5-1) to the tournament title. Schuh averaged 4.00 kills, 3.08 digs and 0.75 blocks per set in the three wins. She collected a collegiate-best 24 kills while hitting .429 against IPFW and also had 15 kills and 17 digs versus Drake in the final match of the weekend. Schuh, who was the Horizon League Player of the Year last season, also won the award last week and has claimed the award five times in her career. UWM returns to action this evening, hosting Northern Illinois at the Klotsche Center. The Huskies are 6-2 and are receiving votes in the latest AVCA poll. The match begins at 7 p.m.
