MILWAUKEE - Jake Reilly and Julie Kolinske have been named the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee/U.S. Army ROTC Athletes of the Month for September.

Reilly won Horizon League Runner of the Week twice during the month for the Panther cross country team while Kolinske led the Panther volleyball team on offense through the first four-plus weeks of the season.

Reilly won the Midwest Open Sept. 8 and then finished fourth overall at the highly-competitive Greater Louisville Classic this past weekend. The senior crossed the line with a season-best time of 25:01.56 Saturday lead the way for UWM.

He has won league honors three times in his career and is now a two-time winner of the ROTC Athlete of the Month honor.

Kolinske continues to be a standout for the Panthers during the early season. The sophomore is leading the team in kills, averaging 4.08 kills per set, while she stands second on the team in digs with 3.19 per frame.

She has now collected 20 or more kills in a match four times this year. Plus, she has had a double-double in seven of her last nine matches and now has 13 this season.
