Video: Simonton Helping Panthers To League-Lead In Blocking
Oct. 18, 2012
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's volleyball team has been marking its mark at the net during Horizon League play. The Panthers lead the league with 2.74 blocks per set and saw junior Rachel Neuberger earn league defensive player of the week honors after she tallied 27 blocks in two weekend matches. UWM's front-row defense got a big boost when Amber Simonton moved into the starting lineup a month ago. The Black and Gold Network talked to the redshirt sophomore about her move into the lineup and the Panthers' improving defense.
