Sept. 14, 2012
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's and women's cross country teams continue their busy start to the 2012 season with a third meet in as many weeks this Saturday, heading just up the road to Mequon, Wis. for the Falcon Invitational hosted by Concordia University.
This is the third-straight year Milwaukee will be running at the Falcon Invitational, having loads of success in its first two years at the meet.
Two years ago, UWM won the meet on both sides, with Milwaukee taking the top five overall spots on the men's side and three of the top four on the women's side.
Then, last year, Milwaukee again cruised through the course and competition in dominating fashion. The men's team took the top two spots and four of the first six to win the meet. On the women's side, the Panthers posted three in the top 10 to take the top team spot.
This weekend's races are set to get underway with the women's run at 11 a.m. followed by the men, who are slated to start at noon.
