Cross Country Heads To Horizon League Championships
Oct. 28, 2011
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's and women's cross country teams head to Cleveland, Ohio this Saturday for the Horizon League Championships at Squire Valleevue Farms. The men's race is set to begin at 10 a.m. (CST) followed by the women's race at 11. The men's team looks to build off a solid finish at their last race two weeks ago when they finished eighth out of 19 teams at the Bradley Classic. Junior Jake Reilly led all Milwaukee runners, finishing fourth in the field of 188 runners. On the women's side, the Panthers are led by senior Kristi Schuette who has taken the top spot for the team in all but one of their races this season. We sat down with Schuette, junior Bobby Glotfelty of the men's team and head coach Pete Corfeld to talk about how this season has been going, what adjustments they've had to make throughout the season and what the upcoming weekend represents to each team.
